As we approach the end of our Pre Season program we will start to allocate your children into teams. Contact will slowly be made by coaches and age group managers to organise training days and times. Keep an eye or an ear open to make sure you are across the relevant information. We will endeavour to have the relevant information on the website as soon as it is confirmed.

This Sunday is the last week we will have the services of the amazing coaches from TryTime Rugby so we encourage any new coaches to get involved this Sunday, meet your players and maybe get some tips from the experts before you are thrown in the deep end explaining the intricacies of rucks and mauls to 7 year olds 😜.

An important reminder to our U11 and U12 players, this week we will be using the allocated training time to play some trial games and select teams for the SJRU team grading days in the coming weeks. Please come prepared with boots, mouthguards and headgear if you wear it.

PLEASE BE ON TIME - ready to start at 10am, not walking from the car at 10am.

If these Pirate Posts are not reaching your inbox each week please subscribe with an up to date email or add committee@northspirates.rugby to your safe senders list.

REMINDER - TRAINING THIS SUNDAY*

*U10 - UPDATE

Please note for this Sunday you will be training at 9AM NOT 10AM as previously advised.

The response to this information evening has been underwhelming. If you are coaching in 2023, managing a team or an age group or thinking you might be then please register your name ASAP. Click above

Height and Weight

Attention all parents of kids 10 years and over

We have not seen much movement in this space. There are many children who have heights that either end in 0 or 5, i.e 130cms, 135cms or 150cms. Rugby Australia have some very specific guidelines and centimetres do matter. If you had a guestimate of your child’s height and weight, please take the time to accurately measure both again and correct the information in Rugby Xplorer. Rugby Australia have made it clear they will be doing compliance checks in this regard. It is just as important for smaller children as it is for larger ones to have the correct information as appropriate dispensations must be sought.
