This week, as we continue to consider what it means to thrive "together", we begin to focus on community care.
Why does community care matter to us? Due to our identities, so many of us have experienced:
- isolation,
- familial rejection.
- barriers to education and jobs,
- discrimination,
- harm,
- misunderstanding,
- lack of acceptance,
- and so much more
When we haven't received care or been affirmed in traditional spaces, we often seek care within community by looking for people who understand our experiences and will accept us for who we are. We want to feel safe, loved, and empowered. This is exactly why THRIVE Lifeline exists! We pair texters with crisis responders who "get it" and will stay with them to help keep them safe and to affirm their identities and experiences.

You voted and we listened! THRIVE established a merchandise store with our friends at Bonfire.com to sell T-shirts and other assorted products. We can't thank you enough for voting over the last few weeks to help us choose shirt designs. Huge shoutout to Yingluo for creating the designs for our merchandise!
20% of all merchandise sales will go directly to THRIVE services, helping to pay for our:
- 24/7/365 text-based crisis line,
- RECRUIT Undergraduate Internship,
- Curriculum development and educational outreach, and
- TRANS affirmation cards and support groups.
