Camp Sealth is Hiring Staff for Summer 2023!
Spend your summer on the shores of Vashon Island, with a diverse 350-acre backyard of wetlands, forests, and over 1 ½ miles of private beachfront. Work to create a high-quality camp experience where kids can try new things, make new friends, and develop a sense of independence.

Available Positions Include:
|
|
|
|
Supervisor Roles (21+): If you have previous leadership experience and are looking for a role in training, coaching and/or mentoring staff, A Unit Leader or Coordinator role may be the right fit for you! Aid in supporting counseling or activity staff and gain skills in camp-wide leadership.
Options for internship or course credit are available depending on individual needs/program requirements.

Activity Staff (18+): More interested in hands-on teaching? Our Program Specialists, Riding Specialists*, and Waterfront Specialists* work to teach and lead specialized activities for campers of all ages and assist in running camp-wide events and activities. Whether it’s outdoor-living skills, arts n’ crafts, or boating- our specialists always know how to bring the fun!
*riding specialists must have a high level of competency in horseback riding (Western preferred) and waterfront specialists must be certified lifeguards or strong swimmers capable of certification necessary to qualify.

Counselors (18+): If working with kids and building relationships is your passion, being a camp Counselor is the job for you! Lead, guide and care for a cabin group of 6-8 campers each week, all while participating in fun activities alongside them! This is an opportunity to help campers build upon personal development and gain a positive experience in community living.

|
Support Staff (18+): Camp can’t run without the behind the scenes work of our Support Staff! These hard working individuals help to run the kitchen, camp store, and aid other areas like the office. These roles helps to support operations and get to interact with all of the camp community!

Summer at a Glance
Spend your summer from mid June through the end of August in a community of approximately 110 other staff working to create an incredible camp experience for 200-300 campers each week
Kick off your role by completing staff training and gain job-specific skills including behavior management, program-area certifications, and have some fun with camp activities like fire-building!
Work benefits include room and board, and salaries begin at $365/week

About Us
Camp Sealth is an ACA-accredited overnight and day camp located on Vashon Island, WA serving youth ages 5-17. Established in 1920 under the youth non-profit Camp Fire, Camp Sealth is one of the oldest and most successful summer camps on the West Coast. This over 100 year-old legacy is accompanied by a commitment to diversity and inclusion, with a drive to making camp a safe space for campers to be themselves. Camp Sealth operates under a gender-inclusive model with both same-gender and gender inclusive cabin options available. Our long-standing Inclusion program also works to provide support to campers with diverse social, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs while at camp. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to attend camp, be free to be their authentic selves, and to try new things in a safe environment.
